What: Online workshop with a 3-hour workload, with three virtual meetings of 1 hour each, in order to develop in its participants skills to create creative authorial production for the development of characters within narrative universes.

For whom: Adequate workshop for the participation of over 10 years old. Students from elementary school, student community (teachers, instructors, etc.) and other interested parties who want to know the potential for character development within narrative universes, getting to know a little more about the visual culture of advertisements, comic books, animations, drawings , series of illustrations and the like.

With whom: The content of the workshop will be taught by the teacher and comic artist Emerson Rodrigues , author of the comic book Cidade Buraco, who will address, in the meetings with the participants, the theoretical contents and the manual techniques for defining characters; drawing, characterization, structuring and sculpture for modeling and by teacher Daniela Fiuza who will present the didactic content of the workshop, including here the possible developments to be used by other teachers in the classroom and will also mediate online interactions during the meetings.

When: March 29, 30 and 31, 2021. From 14h to 15h.

Where: Live streaming through @macacohabil channels on YouTube and Google Meet platforms. All workshop content will be available afterwards for future access on @macacohabil's YouTube and Facebook profiles.

DAY 01

How: Free online event. Prior registration is required to issue a certificate of participation.

Participants will learn to create and develop the concept of their characters and the universe where they are inserted through practical exercises and observing the solutions found by other artists, creating their own, direct and objective language to experience their own production. The theoretical explanation of content will be followed by the practical stage, where the participants will be invited to develop drawings (character guides) and to create these characters created in three dimensions, making them in modeling with clay, plastic mass or similar, according to the material of interest.

- 05 publication vouchers of the copies of the Comic Book "Cidade Buraco - Volume 1", will be raffled at the end of each workshop meeting between the participants present during the workshop transmission, totaling the number of 15 comic books drawn. The publications will be available for withdrawal by the winners during business hours for a period of one week after the draw.

How much: Registration and participation are totally free. Materials to be used for the practical stage of the workshop are not included.

Materials to be used on days 02 and 03 of the workshop (practical steps):

- Block of clay or similar plastic mass, wire for modeling, paper and pencil for drawing and explanatory booklet (available virtually during the workshop, on Day 01).

- Plastic lining or newspaper, for protection of the work table (use clay or similar stage).

- Wire cutting pliers.

This is a basic workshop for learning about character design that can be from the universe of audiovisual, advertising, design, games and animation or even comic books. This action was selected through item III of the Edict of the Aldir Blanc Law of the city of Goiânia-GO.

Indicative classification: Not recommended for children under 10 years.
